It is the only way back to your reply, and we deliberately do not have your email. Save it somewhere. It is also the only key that can delete what you wrote — so keep it to yourself.

What happens next

Guides are volunteers who apply, prove who they are, and have their first replies read by a person. Someone usually replies within a day or two, though nobody is on a rota — this is people giving their time, not a service you have bought.

What a guide can never do

Not "should not". These are refused by the system itself, whatever anyone intends.

  • Write to you more than once. One guide, one blessing — unless you ask for more.
  • Edit or delete what they sent you, ever. What was written stays written.
  • Give you contact details, a link, or a way to reach them anywhere else.
  • Ask you for money, a donation, or anything at all.
  • Tell you to stop taking medication or to skip a doctor.
  • Read anyone's request but the ones matched to them. Nobody browses the queue.
  • Sign with a title like "Dr." or "Therapist" — we cannot verify those, so we do not allow them.
  • Know whether you gave anything. Donations never reach a guide and are never shown to one.
  • Use AI to write or suggest a blessing. Every word comes from the person who signed it.
