Privacy Policy

EverVerse ("we", "us") is a free, multi-faith daily wellness app offering verses, meanings and sermons to read, listen to and share. We care about keeping your experience calm, safe and private. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.

The short version

• No account or sign-in is required to use EverVerse.
• We show no ads, and we never sell your data.
• Most of what you do (favorites, journal, streak, settings) stays only on your device.
• The only things sent to a server are content you deliberately submit (reactions and comments) and text you choose to translate.

Information we collect

• Reactions & comments. If you like/love a verse or post a reflection, that action — and any name and text you type — is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore) so it can be shown to the community. Comments are public. Please don't include sensitive personal information in them.
• On-device data. Favorites, your prayer/reflection journal, your daily streak, voice/language preferences and similar settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your device only. We cannot see them, and they are not uploaded.
• Translations. When you choose to read a verse or sermon in another language, that text is sent to the MyMemory translation service (translated.net) to return the translation.
• Technical data. Our host (GitHub Pages) and Google (Firebase) may process standard technical information such as your IP address and device/browser type as a normal part of delivering the service and keeping it secure. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers.

Third-party services

We rely on a few trusted providers, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase / Firestore (reactions & comments) — policy
• MyMemory by Translated (translations) — policy
• GitHub Pages (hosting) and Google (Firebase SDK delivery via gstatic).

Children

EverVerse is suitable for all ages and does not require personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has posted personal information in a comment, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

• Clear your on-device data anytime by clearing your browser's site data for EverVerse.
• To have a comment you posted removed, contact us with details and we'll take it down.
• You can use the app fully without ever posting a reaction or comment.

Changes

We may update this policy as EverVerse grows. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
